Configure and use Slack:

EverCurrent reads Slack channels you invite it into, answers @EverCurrent mentions in those channels, and posts into Slack only when you map a signal to a channel. It does not join every channel on install and does not reply to ordinary comments.

1. Install and authorize

1. Sign in to EverCurrent. Slack install starts in the product, not from a public Add to Slack button.
2. Open Integrations.
3. Click Integrate next to Slack.
4. Slack opens an authorization screen. Review the requested scopes (permissions), then allow them to add the EverCurrent app to your Slack workspace.
5. When authorization succeeds, Slack returns you to EverCurrent. The workspace is connected. Individual channels are not connected yet.

2. Invite EverCurrent to each channel

Access is channel by channel. Mentioning the app is how you add it.

1. Open the Slack channel you want EverCurrent to use.
2. Mention the EverCurrent app in that channel (for example, type @EverCurrent and send). Slack asks you to invite the app into the channel. Confirm the invite.
3. Repeat for every channel that should be connected. EverCurrent works channel by channel. It does not join every public or private channel after install.
4. After the app is in a channel, that channel is available in EverCurrent for search, Ask Eve, and signal notifications you map to it.

3. Which parts of EverCurrent send messages in Slack

Only these two actions post messages from EverCurrent into Slack:

• Signal notifications you map to a channel. In EverCurrent, open a signal (for example BOM risk or a schedule risk) and set a Slack channel as the notification destination. When that signal fires, EverCurrent posts one message in that channel. No mapped channel means no Slack message for that signal.
• Replies when you @mention EverCurrent. In a channel the app has already been invited to, mention @EverCurrent with a question or request. The bot posts a reply in that thread. This is the only comment type the bot answers.

EverCurrent does not post Slack messages for:

• Ordinary channel messages, thread replies, or file comments that do not @mention EverCurrent
• Every CAD, Drive, Jira, or task change — only events you configure as a signal destination post to Slack
• Channels the app has not been invited to
• Reactions or emoji

4. Which comments the bot responds to

• First @EverCurrent mention in a channel. Treated as an invite. Slack prompts you to add the EverCurrent app to that channel. Confirm to connect the channel.
• @EverCurrent plus a question or request. In a channel the app is already in, the bot reads the mentioning message (and its thread context) and replies in that thread. Example: “@EverCurrent what did we decide about the housing redesign?”

The bot does not respond to:

• Messages or thread comments that do not mention @EverCurrent
• Every new comment on a project, CAD file, or document in EverCurrent — those do not auto-reply in Slack unless you mapped a signal to the channel
• DMs, unless you have invited the app there the same way (mention @EverCurrent)

5. Using Slack from the EverCurrent app

After a channel is invited, in EverCurrent you can:

• Search messages from invited channels.
• Ask Eve about decisions, risks, and threads in those channels.
• Map signals to a specific invited channel so alerts post there when they fire.

Eve uses AI to search, summarize, and reply. Outputs can be inaccurate. Confirm important details before acting on them.
